Glenn recently starred in the Ken Loach directed feature "Carla's Song," which deals with the Contra/Sandanista conflict in Nicaragua, following his rave-review performance with Marisa Tomei in the Broadway production of Eric Overmeyer's theater-noir thriller, "Dark Rapture." In addition, the versatile actor also appeared in "Courage Under Fire" opposite Denzel Washington.
Scott Glenn has been regarded as an actor of unique reality and power since director James Bridges' "Urban Cowboy" first brought him to attention. His skill has been demonstrated in features such as "The Right Stuff," "Silverado," "Apocalypse Now," "Reckless," "Tall Tale," "Personal Best," "My Heros Have Always Been Cowboys," "Backdraft," "Silence Of The Lambs," "The Challenge," "Larga Distancia," "The Hunt For Red October" and "Courage Under Fire."
Glenn's success in "Dark Rapture" on Broadway reflects the original fascination with theater which first drew him to acting. A life-time member of The Actors Studio, Glenn is a product of the legitimate stage. Off-Broadway credits include "Fortune & Men's Eyes" and "Collision Course," as well as the Broadway hit "Burn This."
